Ideas for Connecting with Neighbors

• Spend time outside where you can potentially interact with neighbors. Start a garden, set up a comfy chair in the back alley, play with the kids in the front yard ... WHY? ... so you can chat with passing neighbors.
• Invite neighbors over for coffee, wine or dinner. Host a card game or movie night.
• Ask for help. Borrow some sugar or a lawn mower. Ask for advice with a project or to help carrying something heavy.
• Take more walks. Say hello to the people you pass or pray for your neighbors.
• Organize the neighborhood. Plan a block party, maybe its a Christmas Party or just a good old fashion BBQ. Maybe its doing a can food drive for a local rescue mission.
• Put together a neighborhood directory so people can better watch out for each other.
• Download the Nextdoor app. It's a private social network for your own neighborhood.
• Friend them on social media.
