Our CQ Mentors & Partners
The CQ Team at LaunchPoint went on a Cultural Immersion Journey to Türkiye in September 2025, learning from friends who lead globally in this work. The Jesus Postures framework (Love, Submission, Acceptance, and Assimilation) was originally developed by Matt Millar and Dr. Longa Augustin as part of their Incarnational Framework for Cultural Intelligence. Everything on this page, and much of what we are doing locally within our diverse congregation, has been inspired and informed by these three men.
Matt Millar – Founder of Thriving Beyond and author of Thriving Beyond. Matt helps churches from around the world to grow in cultural humility.
Quinton Pretorius – Founder of Cultural Intelligence Africa and creator of the CQ Immersion Journeys that shaped our Türkiye experience.
Dr. Longa Augustin – Missionary, missiologist, and co-author of the soon to be released, The Church in Context. He equips leaders to multiply disciples across cultures.

4 Keys to Effective CQCQ Drive: The level at which you are willing and motivated to engage with people from different cultures. It involves an open mind, humble heart and positive attitude towards people of different backgrounds.
CQ Knowledge: This involves understanding the customs, traditions, values, and social norms of different cultures. It's about acquiring knowledge of other cultures to avoid misunderstandings and misinterpretations. CQ Strategy: The skill of navigating cultural interactions with wisdom, engaging effectively with diverse people groups and responding well when cultural values are unintentionally crossed. CQ Action: This is the adoption of a new new context. The choice to live immersed within the people and places, no longer as an outsider but as one whom is trusted and seen as an insider. |
